New Delhi: German luxury carmaker Audi on Thursday launched three electric SUVs – Audi e-tron 50, Audi e-tron 55 and Audi e-tron Sportback 55 in India.
Audi e-tron 50 has a price of INR 99,99,000, the e-tron 55 is priced at INR 1,16,15,000 while the e-tron Sportback 55 comes at a price of INR 1,17,66,000. (All prices ex-showroom).
According to the carmaker, electric motors at the front and rear produce a combined power of 300kW on the Audi e-tron 55 and Audi e-tron Sportback 55, and 230kW on the Audi e-tron 50.
The e-tron 55 and e-tron 55 Sportback accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in a quick 5.7 seconds, while the e-tron 50 boasts a 6.8 second 0 to 100 kmph time.
The e-tron 55 and e-tron 55 Sportback feature 95kWh lithium-ion battery that enables a 359-484km range (WLTP- Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure); e-tron 50 features a 71kWh lithium-ion battery with 264-379km range (WLTP), the company said.
The new SUVs feature digital Matrix LED headlights, 31.24 cm fully digital Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch Response, Panoramic glass roof, 4-zone climate control, amongst others.

Safety features in the SUV include 8 airbags, external speakers generating a unique sound to alert pedestrians of the e-tron’s presence and pre-sense basic initiates preventive protection measures in the event of emergency braking.
Audi’s new product offerings will compete with the likes of Mercedes-Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace.
According to the automaker, customers buying the SUV this year will receive two chargers – a 11kW compact charger and an additional wall-box AC charger that can be set up at their place of choice. Key Audi India dealerships will be equipped with a 50kW DC fast charger, in a phased manner.
Audi will offer buyback up to 3 years from the date of purchase and high-voltage battery warranty of 8 years as part of curated packages on its all-electric SUVs.
Under the curated ownership packages, Audi India is offering a choice of service plans ranging from 2 years to 5 years. A standard warranty of 2 years and a high-voltage battery warranty of 8 years or 160,000 KM whichever is earlier is also available. The options for extended warranty are available across a period of 2+2 years or 2+3 years, the company said in a statement.
Over 100 chargers will be installed across 75 key cities in the country, the company said adding its dealers “will offer, at cost, their charging facilities to all other brand electric car customers”. Audi India will open access to the ‘Chargers near me’ section of the ‘myAudi Connect’ app and Audi India website to all electric car users in India.
The company is also offering complimentary 5 year roadside assistance to customers of these electric SUVs.
The automaker opened bookings for the three models in late June, when each of these SUVs could be booked with an initial booking amount of INR 5 lakhs either online through the company’s website or at the nearest Audi India dealership.
